Vectrix Motorbikes

Vectrix has produced the World’s first high-powered electric two wheeled vehicle designed to compete with large high powered petrol driven scooters. Technically innovative with a low centre of gravity and stiff frame provide excellent handling characteristics making the Vectrix fun to ride and easy to operate – it even has a reverse gear! It offers rapid acceleration, low running costs, minimal maintenance, simple operation, low noise and zero emissions.

With the Vectrix Maxi-scooter you will be free to move, free from traffic jams, free from expensive maintenance, free from rising petrol prices, free from pollution and free from guilt about damaging the planet.

The Vectrix Corporation has a European base in Italy and a subsidiary here in the UK. Built in a new state of the art facility in Poland, the first Vectrix models hit the streets of Britain and Italy last year. Product launches were rolled out in France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland during the remainder of 2007.

Further innovative products, a sports bike and a three wheeled scooter, are due for launch towards the end of the year and early next year which will broaden the appeal of the Vectrix brand, opening up new markets for these innovative machines.

Technologically innovative design has already won the Vectrix motorbike accolades and awards – being the 2006 recipient of the Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation & Leadership of the Year Award.

Low overall cost of ownership has been the focus of the engineering and development of the Vectrix motor – achieving high performance and extended range through weight reduction, minimal friction, excellent aerodynamics reducing drag, digital circuitry and fewer moving parts; 250 v’s 2500 for a petrol scooter.

Just look at the figures! You could enjoy these sort of cost savings when you compare a Vectrix with an equivalent 400cc petrol scooter over a four year period:

  • 90% saving on fuel costs
  • 70% saving in maintenance costs
  • up to 50% saving in insurance costs
  • no road tax
